Some links on Hear the Chord may earn us a commission if you sign up or buy. It never changes what we recommend, what we say about a product, or the order we list things in.

Which links

Lesson-app cards (for example Fender Play on guitar pages and Skoove on piano pages) and links on our app comparison pages may become affiliate links once each program approves the site. Shop links on the capo and first-instrument pages go to Amazon.

Right now: none of our links are tracked yet, so no link on the site currently earns anything. This page will list each program as it goes live.

How we decide what to recommend

App comparisons use each company's own published prices, trials and features, with the date we checked them. We don't claim to have tested products we haven't used, we don't publish star ratings, and an app with no affiliate program (Yousician, for example) is listed on the same terms as one that has one.

Ads

Display ads may appear on some pages in future. They'll sit below the chord and scale players, never inside them, and never look like part of the lesson.
